The Witcher 3 Android port: status, pre-order and requirements
The Witcher 3 has no official phone version. Where Zodita's native Android port stands, what the free Kaer Morhen demo contains, how the pre-order works and which phones it needs.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (CD Projekt Red, 2015) is one of the most wanted PC games on phones. This page sums up the real status of an Android port, without hype.
Is The Witcher 3 on mobile?
Not officially. CD Projekt Red's mobile games are spin-offs such as Gwent, and cloud services can stream the PC version to a phone if you have a fast connection. Any «Witcher 3 APK» on a download site is therefore not an official build: such files are unverified, can carry malware and never get updates.
What Zodita's port is
The Witcher 3 Mobile is Zodita's rebuild of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for Android, made from the original game data and meant to run on the phone itself, not on a server and not through an emulator. It is in development, and it installs as its own app and updates through the Zodita app.
Status: the free demo
The free demo, version 0.2.0, is out since 21 October 2026, three days before its planned date. It covers Kaer Morhen, the opening chapter: the prologue and the tutorial. It is an early build of about 1.1 GB. White Orchard follows, then the full game; its release date has not been announced.
Pre-order
The full game can be pre-ordered now for $11.99, shown at -40% from $19.98; the 40% discount runs until 30 November 2026. You pay the pre-order price now, the full game unlocks in your library 2 days before its public release, and until then you play the free demo. The demo stays free for every Zodita player.
What your phone needs
Android 10 or newer with 6 GB of RAM and about 3 GB free. The Witcher 3 is a heavy game: a mid-range phone from the last few years is the target, older phones will struggle.
How to install the demo
- Create a free Zodita account on zodita.com.
- Install the Zodita app for Android from zodita.com/app. Android asks once to allow installs from this source.
- Sign in, open The Witcher 3 Mobile in your library, tap Install and let the download finish. The game installs as its own app.
- Play Kaer Morhen. To get the full game when it unlocks, pre-order it on The Witcher 3 Mobile game page.
