The Witcher 3 on Android: a native port
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (2015) has no official phone version. We are porting it to run on Android phones, and the first step, a free demo for every Zodita player, is out now.
Is The Witcher 3 on mobile?
Not officially. CD Projekt Red's mobile games are spin-offs such as Gwent, and cloud services can stream the PC version to a phone if you have a fast connection. Zodita's port is different: it is meant to run on the phone itself. It is an unofficial community port, not affiliated with or endorsed by CD Projekt Red.
What the demo is
The free demo (version 0.2.0) is out since 21 October 2026, three days before its planned date. It covers Kaer Morhen, the opening chapter: the prologue and the tutorial. It is an early build of about 1.1 GB; White Orchard and the full game come later.
How to get it
Install the Zodita app for Android, sign in with a free account, open The Witcher 3 Mobile and tap Download. The demo installs as its own app and updates through Zodita.
Questions and answers
Can you play The Witcher 3 on a phone?
There is no official phone version. Zodita has an unofficial Android port with a free demo out now (Kaer Morhen, the opening chapter); the full game is in development.
Is the demo free?
Yes. The demo is free for every Zodita player; only the full game is sold.
Is this cloud gaming?
No. Cloud services stream the PC version from a server. Zodita's port is built to run on the phone itself.
Which phones does it need?
Android 10 or newer with 6 GB of RAM and about 3 GB free. The Witcher 3 is a heavy game: a mid-range phone from the last few years is the target, older phones will struggle.
