Google has launched Playground, an experimental browser platform where you describe a game in words and play it minutes later.
You can start from a blank canvas or remix a starter prompt, then ask for changes to the physics, rules, characters and levels. Games can stay private, go out as a link or be published to an Explore gallery with ratings and leaderboards. Google plans to connect Playground to Unity Spark for higher-fidelity 3D, which is in a closed beta.
It launched on October 7 for users 18 and over in the United States at playground.google, with creation access tied to Google One membership tiers.
