The origin story of Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago launched on October 6 and is part of Game Pass.
Gears of War: E-Day launched on October 6, 2026 for Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC, and it is also available through Game Pass.
Developed by The Coalition with People Can Fly, it is the sixth main Gears game. It goes back fourteen years before the first one, to Emergence Day, when the Locust Horde first breaks out from underground, with a young Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago.
The review embargo lifted on October 1, and early reviews were strong: the game averaged 87 on Metacritic from its first 20 critic reviews.
