Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne (Remedy Entertainment, 2003) continues the story of the New York detective in a noir tale of crime and an old love.
This free demo plays the prologue (the hospital), the warehouse, the Vodka club, the first dream, Max's apartment building and the escape through the burning building and the yard from the original game data: the level scripts, cutscenes, enemies and graphic novel pages of the original.
“0.3.11: the crosshair sits above Max's shoulder instead of on his head, the hospital elevator no longer locks when it brushes Max, the Vodka club staircase door no longer traps Max, less memory when a level is reloaded, slow motion works again after dying mid-dive, characters and Max blink with the original timing, scripted face and body sub-animations no longer freeze the body, enemies cry out on every hit, the black ops squad animations restored, hand-held props in cutscenes (police radio), sounds fade out with the screen at the end of cutscenes; plus 0.3.10: the warehouse security console, Max's death camera, enemy voices in combat”
